Can You Dig It?

Spring is here and I am loving this season's 70s inspired trend! Many designers, like Marc Jacobs' ready to wear collection, showcased this trend during fashion week. Everything from the bell bottoms to flowing maxis, to bold prints and chunky platforms.

The 1970s was a period of peace and standing up for what you believe in. Whether it be anti-war or feminism, the clothing of the time reflected just that. The bold colors and flowing materials were directly representative of the state of mind the people were in during that time. I constantly look forward to this trend coming back around because of the free-spirited era the style stemmed from. Peace and love, how can you go wrong with that? The 70s trend has continued to make its way back in the spotlight. Here are some of my favorite pieces for the spring/summer 2011 season.
